Don't Be Shellfish! Science Cafe on the Coast

Science Café on the Coast will host a presentation “Don’t be Shellfish!” on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 6:00 pm at the Gulfport Public Library.

Speakers Novalee Booth and Rachel Lynch of the “Behind the Seas” Podcast will be diving deep into the lives of fascinating marine species and the current challenges they face in today’s oceans. From the mysteries of the deep sea to the threats of climate change and human impact, you’ll gain new insights into the hidden world beneath the surface.
 
Science Café on the Coast is a collaboration between The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Libraries, Harrison County Library System, Long Beach Public Library, the Hancock County Library System, Infinity Science Center and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. This event offers those with minimal background in science the chance to meet and discuss scientific issues in a relaxed social setting.
